Fabrics I picked out today for an assisted living community. It’ll be:
1 sofa
2 wing backs (not the ugly ones)
2 occasional chairs
4 rocker-back chairs (it’s a thing)

Here’s an ‘almost done’ project: Just need to get accessories/lighting on the reception desk, art on the walls past the glass, and maybe some rice paper designs on the glass behind the reception desk.
This is a desk I designed specifically to fit this space, and this client. Which was easy-peasy…until I discovered the laminate material only comes in 8ft lengths! I looked at other laminates, but kept coming back to this one. Sooooo, in order for it to work and still make sense, I redesigned the desk to make it look like 2 posts/columns on the corners.
Voila! Easy, yes?
No.

A workroom shot…pretty glamorous, huh?
I’m placing all this furniture so we know what to order. Can’t wait to pick fabric and furniture styles.
Then, I’ll start playing with the accessories!
This is a staging project in a 2 bedroom apartment. The client bought all the items in the room, and was on a tight budget. They used this room to ‘sell’ the remaining apartments in the complex.
It was really fun to pick the design and the colors for this tile floor. Of course, the entire project was fun, all 75,000 square feet!
This blog is my notebook of design-related inspiration. At work I decorate residential homes and commercial buildings. I also consult on remodels, renovations, and all sorts of other surprisingly creative endeavors.
Sometimes (if I've got decent photos), my own projects are unveiled here first, before being added to the projects on my website.
